Litigation & Dispute Resolution
We regularly advise on disputes involving commercial contracts, shareholders, partnerships, joint ventures, investments and other business-related disputes.
In addition to appearing before all levels of courts and a range of administrative tribunals in British Columbia, we have represented clients before the Supreme Court of Canada, and on occasion, our lawyers appear before the courts in other provinces.
Our lawyers have authored numerous articles, papers and texts in the field of litigation and arbitration, and have taught litigation-related courses for the Faculty of Law at the University of British Columbia, the Continuing Education Society of British Columbia and for other organizations.
- Christine Mingie Duhaime presented on recent developments on online dispute resolution entitled “ODR – A Quiet Revolution in Justice?” to the University of British Columbia.
- Christine Mingie Duhaime is the author of the legal text British Columbia Commercial Arbitration – An Annotated Guide.
- Christine Mingie Duhaime co-chaired the Advanced Arbitration Law course for the Continuing Legal Education Society with David Merner, Dispute Resolution Office, Ministry of Attorney General (2009) and served on the Planning Committee for the Dispute Resolution Conference with Donald Brenner, QC and David Merner (2010).
- Christine Mingie Duhaime was Adjunct Professor of Law for Advanced Arbitral Studies and Advanced Advocacy at the Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia.
- Christine Mingie Duhaime was the gold medal winner at the first international online arbitration moot while a student at the Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia.
