Duhaime Law
First established in 1998, Duhaime Law is a boutique law firm focused on providing advice to businesses, corporations and individuals in select areas of practice, including regulatory law, litigation, business and corporate law, and securities enforcement. Today, our clients include public and private corporations in a number of industry sectors, including the financial institutions sector, gaming sector and energy and natural resources. We also provide specialized advice to law firms and accounting firms.
Alongside our reputation in dispute resolution and business law, we have leading practices in anti-money laundering law and gaming law in Canada.
Our lawyers have a long-standing tradition of service to the community. We take on a select number of pro bono cases each year and consider ourselves privileged to be able to give back to the communities in which we practice law. We are a member of Access Pro Bono Society of British Columbia. In the recent past our lawyers have assisted in the following pro bono cases:
- Assisted a couple from India settle the estate of their daughter who was murdered in Vancouver; and
- Assisted parents obtain compensation under the victims of crime legislation after their son was murdered in a gang-related shooting in Vancouver.
In 2009, we were honoured when Lloyd Duhaime was named “Canadian Lawyer of the Week” by The Lawyers’ Weekly.
